To be honest, I'm flattered you clicked the "Meet TJ" button! I'm just a normal person, like you! Married, kids, dogs, cats, dishes to wash, grass to mow, coffee in the morning, wine in the evening. In The Keystone, I relate most to Havalah when she says, "Hey, I'm just a normal human, like you. I just have really cool friends." Same, Havs. Same. But since you're here now - I'll tell you just a little about me, starting with the why...

When I was in high school, The Lost Boys changed my life - like, it altered my DNA. I rented that movie every weekend until I finally (illegally) recorded it onto my own VHS tape. (Oh come on - you know did it too!) I still have that tape, by the way, even though we haven't owned a VCR in years. Ever since then, my dreamy heart has belonged to the obsessive, dangerous man with blood dripping from his fangs.

I don't know how other authors do it - but when I'm writing, I feel more like the vessel the story is pouring through, rather than the creator of a story. I get so emersed in the characters and what they are experiencing that I find myself getting anxious if it's been too long since my last writing session. I start thinking, "Vander and Lexi are waiting for me! I have to get back to the computer." It feels to me, like they are suspended in motion until I continue typing their story. And nobody wants to be frozen in place for too long! I know, it sounds crazy, but that's my process! I get 100% immersed.
